The HPSI was developed to screen for the three major dimensions of psychopathology, namely Psychiatric Symptomatology, Social Symptomatology and Depression.
ASSESSMENT SCALES
The HPSI has the following scales:
PSYCHIATRIC SYMPTOMATOLOGY: Hypocondriasis, Anxiety and Thinking Disorder
SOCIAL SYMPTOMATOLOGY: Interpersonal Problems, Alienation, Impulse Expression
DEPRESSION: Depression, Social Introversion, Self-depreciation
Additional sub-dimensions: Persecuting ideas, deviation
AREAS OF APPLICATION
The HPSI identifies general areas ofpotential psychopathology that warrant further examination
REPORT OPTION
The HPSI Profile Report summarises the results of an individual administration, providing scores for all scales.
SOUTH AFRICAN RESEARCH
Although South African research is not currently available for the HPSI, JVR Psychometrics welcomes the opportunity to partner with clients in conducting research studies in their practices.
